Electrical Maintenance Engineer , Electrical Engineer

Based in East Yorkshire – Commutable from Beverley, Barton, Bridlington, Brigg, Cottingham, Driffield, Hessle, Hornsea, Hull, Hutton Cranswick, Market Weighton, Willerby

Salary

£35,000 + Pension + 22 days holiday plus stats which rises with service + Life Insurance + Gym Membership + Health Care scheme + Cycle to work scheme

My client is a leading manufacturer who supplies specialist products to a range of industries including Healthcare, Logistics, Payment, Automotive and Medical. The company is part of a worldwide group and due to an increase in orders they would like to recruit an additional Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a team of 4.

 

You must have the following:

 

 

  • Must be HNC/NVQ Level 3 Time Served Electrician
  • Must have Electrical Maintenance Experience
  • Must have 17th or 18th Edition
  • Can use initiative and work unsupervised.
  • Ability to read, understand and follow schematics.
  • Knowledge of AC/DC drive systems
  • Experience of working in manufacturing environment
  • Experience in Mechanical Engineering
  • Knowledge of PLC based systems

 

Role

 Job Purpose

Part of in-house Engineering team. Responsible for electrical breakdown diagnostics and resolutions across the site, Fixed Wire testing, PAT testing and all other Electrical related repairs and maintenance.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Attending machine breakdowns, fault-finding, diagnostics and repair (either internally or external)
  • Liaising with external maintenance suppliers.
  • Engaging in preventative maintenance plan.
  • Setting and repair of Encoding/Programming Units
  • Work closely with H&S officer ensuring compliance with safety requirements at all times.
  • Designing, implementing, maintaining and improving electrical products and systems.
  • Establishing and enforcing construction, manufacturing and installation standards.
  • Overseeing maintenance, inspection and system upgrade programmes.
  • Providing quality assurance for ongoing projects
