Quantity Surveyor
East Yorkshire – Commutable from Barton, Bridlington, Doncaster, Driffield, Goole, Grimsby, Hessle, Howden, Hull, Scunthorpe, Selby , Willerby York
Salary and Benefits – £35,000 – £40,000 (Dependent on Experience) + Pension+ Car Allowance
Company Information
- Our client is a large main contractor construction company based in East Yorkshire.
- They are the looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join their team
- They have a positive outlook and some excellent bid opportunities both with existing and new clients.
You must have the following:
- Must have past experience of working within construction ideally for a main contractor
- Must have a driving license
- Ideally have or be working towards a HNC in a construction based subject
- Must have experience of JCT and NEC 3 Contracts
Role Information:
My client are looking for a QS to join their team who have experience of JCT and NEC3 contracts. They are happy to consider someone at an intermediate level who have a couple of years under their belt who want to progress and grow as a QS. The work will be a range of different construction projects across the North of England ranging from fit-outs, refurbs, extensions and new builds on schools, universities, public and council buildings, housing developments, factories, offices and industrial working. Values usually range from £250,000 to £10 million.
Key responsibilities would include:
- Preparation, submission and agreement of interim valuations;
- Subcontractor procurement;
- Monthly Cost Value Reconciliations;
- Projecting cost and value to completion;
- Re-measure and checking of Bills of Quantities;
- Assessing Subcontractor payment applications;
- Recording and agreement of contract variations;
- Agreement of Final Accounts.
