JOB TITLE:  Management Accountant / Finance Accountant / Finance Manager / Financial Manager / Accounting Manager

 COMMUTABLE FROM:  Lincoln, Skellingthorpe, Sutton on Trent, North Hykeman, Tuxford, Saxilby, Branston, Nettleham, Newark on Trent, Gainsborough, Retford

 SALARY AND BENEFITS:

COMPANY INFORMATION: My client is a Food Manufacturer who has recently been taken over by a Blue-Chip Company with plans to invest heavily in the business.

YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

  • ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified or working toward
  • Confident & professional
  • A high level of motivation / self-drive
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Ability to question current systems and procedure and suggest and implement improvements
  • Highly Proficient with the use of Microsoft Excel (Pivots and VLOOKUP)
  • Fantastic attention to detail
  • Able to maintain effective working relationships
  • Ability to prioritise
  • Good written and spoken communication skills

 ROLE INFORMATION:

  • Supporting the timely preparation of weekly / monthly Management Accounts
  • Working closely with Commercial and Operational Department Managers, update and improve business, customer and product reporting to increase performance throughout the site
  • Further improvement of product estimates and yield variance analysis
  • Supporting the monthly performance reports enabling the company’s performance to be tracked and highlighting any areas for potential progress
  • Supporting the supervision of the Fixed Asset Register including depreciation, disposals and Capital Expenditure
  • Identification of profit increase opportunities across the site, working closely with appropriate teams to achieve implementation
  • Monthly VAT declaration
  • The preparation of the salaried payroll file for processing at bureau, ensuring that all information entered is accurate and correct per HR and timesheets
  • Oversee the Stock process to ensure it is valued correctly
  • Assist with both internal & external audit
  • Ad hoc project work
  • Support the roll out of Navision across the site
  • Whilst these duties focus on weekly and commercial accounting, as a senior member of the site finance team, this role would also be expected to help support the wider finance function including monthly accounts, sales/purchase ledger and payroll.
  • Please note there may be the requirement on occasion to travel between other inter-company sites.
