Job Description

JOB TITLE:  Forklift Fitter

 COMMUTABLE FROM:  Hull, Cottingham, Willerby, Hessle, Beverley, Hedon, Keyingham, Withernsea, Burstwick, Thorngumbald

 SALARY AND BENEFITS:

COMPANY INFORMATION: My client is an established local engineering company who specialise in the supply, modification, service and repair of plant machinery.

YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or equivalent
  • Be able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Be able to manage your own workload
  • Plan your own work methods, prioritise safety and the quality of the product
  • Adhere to all rules, policies and procedures
  • Be able to operate forklifts and heavy handling equipment
  • Use your own initiative when working off site using minimal equipment

 

ROLE INFORMATION:

  • Working with Schematic drawings and machine manuals
  • Diagnosing and identifying machine faults during machine inspections
  • Maintaining the mechanic workshop, including communal tooling, workshop machinery, and equipment
  • Managing workshop consumables and general equipment
  • Servicing of faulty parts, identifying the problem and refitting/repairing
