JOB TITLE:  Engineering Manager, Project Engineering Manager, Engineering Team Leader, Maintenance Manager

 

COMMUTABLE FROM:  Cork, Limerick, Waterford, Tipperary, Dungarven, Ennis, Tralee, New Ross, Wexford, Portlaoise

COMPANY INFORMATION: Our Client are multi-billion Dollar manufacturing business that develops, produces, and markets a broad range of products, related systems, and services. Our client serves A range of consumer and industrial markets, including household, food and pharmaceutical, paper, packaging, automotive, construction, and environmental.

 

 

YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

  • minimum of ONC/HNC/NVQ level 3 qualification in a maintenance discipline
  • Proven experience Managing Maintenance Teams
  • Ability to manage multi-million pound CAPEX Projects
  • Excellent man management skills
  • Experience and application of lean manufacturing, modern quality systems, inventory controls, labour efficiency, capital planning and operations finance awareness.
  • Ability to follow an implement strict Health and safety policies to ensure safe operations on site.

 

ROLE INFORMATION: Our client are currently looking for a proactive Engineering Manager to join and lead the team.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Undertake all work activity taking due care and attention to company policies and procedure for Quality, Safety and Environment.

 

  • Have full knowledge and adhere to plant emergency procedures.

 

  • Report directly to the Plant Manager.

 

  • Responsible for planning, execution and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget.

 

  • Responsible for the planning and designation of project resources, prepare project proposal budgets, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed the entire way.

 

  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the project(s).

 

  • Management and leadership of the Maintenance team, including the development of the team.

 

  • Competent in require project methodology.

 

  • Ensures project documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored.

 

  • Works closely with relevant stake holders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the project(s).

 

  • Develop, implement and sustain TPM methodology for each area of plant and equipment.

 

  • Liaise with Production and Plant Managers regarding training and development of Operator/Technicians.

 

  • Improve effectiveness of maintenance department through application of lean techniques.

 

  • Drive improvement projects, often of a relatively minor nature, that help facilitate the TPM focus as well as opportunity for continuous improvement.

 

  • Facilitate the completion of Kaizen actions that need project type input.

 

  • Track effectiveness of TPM.

 

  • Responsible for the completion of all maintenance service requests as assigned by the Plant Manager
