Based in East Yorkshire – Commutable from Beverley, Bridlington, Brigg, Barton, Cottingham, Driffield, Hedon, Hessle, Hornsea, Hull, Preston, Willerby.

Company
My client is a leading food manufacturing company with sites across the UK. The company have undergone significant growth these last few years and have diversified into a range of markets. The site is fairly new and boasts a turn key integrated Machinery system. As a result of an internal promotion and growth my client needs to appoint an experienced Production Manager to help drive the site forward.
You must have the following:
- Must have previous Production Management , Operations Manager or Area Team Leader experience from a Food Manufacturing background
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Must be results focussed and be able to work to KPIs
- Must be able to inspire, motivate and lead others
- Must have CI or Improvement experience
Role:
This will be a Monday to Friday days role reporting direct to the General Manager.
The High Risk and Packing Manager will be responsible for the management and coordination of retail, bulk (including high and low risk) and all of intake. This will include trays, packaging, ingredients and raw material. They will also be responsible for all preparation aspects of breaded products; from mincing and mixing to coating and frying and all retail packing operations across 5 lines for multiple retailers across a variety of SKUSs and ensuring delivery on time and in full to the customers whilst always striving to consistently improve the quality departmental throughput, and performance.
The main duties would include:
- Provide guidance and leadership to the team
- Ensuring compliance with all system-based processes and procedures within the department
- Train and develop team to ensure continuity of standards, even in the candidate’s absence
- Work with other department managers to ensure smooth production and delivery of all produce to the finished customer
- Maintain the highest health and safety standards
- Ensure waste is kept to a minimum and second nature is the forefront of the operation
- Any other reasonable requests made by the Directors
