Company
My client is an award-winning manufacturer in a specialist and growing market that supplies a range of different industries including Medical, Electronics, Automotive, Plastics, Food and Drink, Steel and Pharmaceutical. Due to an increase in orders, they are looking at growing their quality department further. This role will be working permanent afternoons Monday-Thursday 1:45pm-10pm and Friday 1:45pm-845pm.
You must have the following:

- Must have a passion for Quality and Technology
- Must be able to read Engineering drawings
- Excellent Attention to detail
- Must have experience of Quality Inspection work whether this be as an Inspector, Quality Technician or Quality Engineer
- Must be able to read Engineering drawings
- Must be able to follow set procedures and guidelines
- Must have worked in an Engineering, Manufacturing or Assembly Environment
- Ideally have experience of CMM
Role:
As a Quality Technician, your role will be to support the Quality & Operation teams within the business through quality engineering & problem resolution and assist in the implementation of 5S and Quality improvement programs. You will work as a member of the Quality team resolving problems, preventing re-occurrence, and seeking to engage others supporting performance improvement.
You will also be responsible for inspecting the quality of internally and externally made components to ensure the product standard maintains the correct level of quality. You will review the ongoing quality level of supplied components and audit internal manufacturing processes to ensure procedures are followed.
You will be asked to
- Identify trends, review data and spot opportunities for improvement and recommend any preventative and corrective actions.
- Be involved in quality plan monitoring and investigate quality issues that arise within the site
- Perform visual and dimensional inspection of components at goods in and finished goods.
- Calibrate measuring equipment and measuring testing variables
- Write detailed reports including first article inspection reports and CofCs
- Use equipment like callipers, vernier, micrometres, CMM and others to make accurate measurements
- Be responsible for carrying out first-offs, in process inspections, final inspections and goods-in inspections
- Recording and escalating non-conformances where issues are identified.
- Work alongside a highly skilled team to continually develop quality performance and compliance across the business.
- Learn how to plan, monitor and measuring quality objectives
